Role of Regional Education Service Centers in Texas

The system of 20 regional service centers serve as intermediate service agencies between the Texas Education Agency and the local school districts throughout Texas . The service centers have three primary goals:

  1. Improve student performance
  2. Promote economy and efficiency of member school districts
  3. Provide support for the implementation of statewide initiatives enacted by the legislature or the Commissioner of Education
